There are three types of cards which are most commonly used. These broad categories of cards are invitations cards, greeting cards and business cards. There are other types of cards as well, like the name cards, but these are less widely used than these three types of cards. Whenever it comes to the designing of these personalised cards, there is need to provide unique content and designs on these cards which make these different from each other. Of course, occasions and purpose of their use also creates the differentiation.
Invitation cards
As the name suggests, these are the cards which are used for extending invitations to the others. This invitation could be for the birthday, marriage anniversary, wedding, engagement, party or any other occasion where you want guests to come and grace the occasion. Invitation cards are written in a courteous and inviting language. The language of these personalised cards could be formal or informal in tone depending on who is the person to whom the cards are to be given. Most of the times, formal invitations are made.
Greeting cards
These are the cards which are used to greet others on some occasion. Whether it is some religious festival or ushering of the New Year or even wedding, engagement or other occasion of personal importance, people send the personalised cards to extend their greetings to others for the same. People usually wish all the virtues of life through these cards. They extend their best wishes and compliments to others. Language used is mostly buoyant, encouraging, motivating and congratulatory in nature.
Business cards
These are used by businesses to provide the contact details to the others for keeping these as records for future reference. These provide name, contact details and information on products and services to others. Mostly these are made of wallet or pocket size so that these can be kept in pockets or wallets for anytime anyplace reference by the people. These are also a type of personalised cards since every business is unique, at least in name and brand logo and therefore, these are printed with personal and unique content as well. Only plain information is provided and there are no linguistic skills to be shown.
All these cards are customised as per the requirements and likes of people. The companies engaged in the printing of these cards do keep samples or templates of designs, structural layout and the content of the cards for showing to the customers. However, there is also a scope for further customization of these cards in case the customers are not satisfied with designs or they want their own designs and content to be provided on these personalised cards.
Whether the printing companies are having online or offline business, personalisation is one of the main features which provide flexibility in the making of the cards as per the requirements of the people or organizations. This feature is central to their business operation.
